A teenager from Michigan utilized a slingshot to rescue his younger sister from being kidnapped.

According to authorities, a teenage boy from Michigan saved his younger sister from being kidnapped while they were searching for mushrooms in their backyard. The 14-year-old boy used his slingshot to hit the 17-year-old suspect who had allegedly held his sister's mouth shut. The girl was able to break free and her brother acted quickly to protect her. The incident occurred in Alpena and was reported by FOX Detroit.
The authorities did not disclose the object used to strike the perpetrator.
The police found the teenage suspect at a gas station close by, where he was hiding and had injuries on his head and chest. He reportedly confessed to intending to assault the girl.
The individual has been arrested and is currently being held at Alpena County jail. The charges against him include kidnapping, attempted assault, and assault, and he is required to pay a cash bond of $150,000.
