Jeremy Lin, the former Knicks star, has reportedly sustained a head injury after a frightening fall during a basketball game in Taiwan.
Jeremy Lin, a former NBA player and popular New York Knicks player, may have experienced a concussion following a frightening fall and impact to his head on the court during a game in Taiwan over the weekend.
Lin is a member of the P-league team Kaohsiung 17LIVE Steelers.
During Sunday's game against the Formosa Taishin Dreamers, League+ player Lin was injured in the second quarter when he fell hard and seemed to have hurt his head. He was immediately taken to the hospital. The injury occurred when he was fighting for a rebound and was hit in the face by Chris McCullough, a former player for the Brooklyn Nets.
He tumbled down and struck the rear of his skull on the playing surface.
Dwight Howard, a retired NBA player, has caused anger in China by referring to Taiwan as a "country." During a game, Lin, another player, appeared to be injured and received medical attention.
The staff brought a stretcher, but he managed to leave the court with their assistance by walking.
According to Focus Taiwan, he came back towards the end of the game and informed the local media during a press conference that he probably suffered a concussion and would require one or two weeks to recuperate.
"I cannot guarantee that I will continue playing baseball next year," stated Lin following the conclusion of the Steelers' season with a loss on Sunday. For additional sports coverage, click on the link provided on FOXNEWS.COM.
The decision regarding this matter is made on an annual basis. Lin, who is 34 years old, made history as the first Asian American to win an NBA championship while playing for the Toronto Raptors in 2019. However, he gained more recognition for his outstanding performance with the Knicks during the 2011 season. Following that, he departed from the NBA to join the Chinese Basketball Association and is now attempting to make a comeback in 2021.
He inked a deal with the letter P in the month of January.
The League+ is present in Taiwan.
