Several suspects with gang affiliations from Chicago have been accused of an "ambush-style attack" that resulted in the deaths of three women in the vicinity of Beverly Hills.
Police have announced that three men with connections to a gang in Chicago have been charged with murder for the shooting deaths of three women in Southern California in January. The shooting was carried out in an ambush-style in an area just north of Beverly Hills. Dejean Thompkins, aged 28, and Dontae Williams, aged 22, were arrested in Chicago, while Daries Stanford, aged 28, was arrested in New York over the past few weeks.
The LAPD stated that the three individuals, Iyana Hutton (33), Nenah Davis (29), and Destiny Sims (26), who were shot and killed in January, are currently waiting to be extradited to Los Angeles.
While parked near their vacation rental in the Beverly Crest neighborhood, north of Beverly Hills, a former NBA star's father was murdered at the age of 28. All those involved, including the victims and suspects, were from the Chicago area. Authorities in Los Angeles are offering a reward for information to help solve the case. Although six others were injured in the shooting, the police do not believe that the women were the intended targets.
The group of women had journeyed to Los Angeles to attend a concert by a rapper and were lodging at a holiday home in Beverly Crest with some acquaintances.
According to the police, the shooting took place right after they had finished bowling for the night. The incident resulted in three people being killed and six others being injured in an act of heartless violence. This was stated by a Los Angeles Police Captain.

Thompkins has been charged with the murder of Julian Bynum in North Hollywood on January 16, 2022. Thompkins is facing four counts of murder and six counts of attempted murder, while Williams and Stanford are facing three counts of murder and six counts of attempted murder. The suspects used ambush-style tactics on their victims. The LAPD is saddened by the loss of life and hopes that the arrests will bring comfort to the families and friends of the victims.
