Connecticut police officers will not face charges following the death of Darrell Jones, 33, which has been determined by the Vermont Health Department to be an accidental fentanyl overdose.
On March 23, Bennington police arrested Jones, who hails from Easton, Pennsylvania, along with two other individuals.
Within an hour, a police officer observed Jones seated on the floor of the detention cell, with his back resting against the wall.
Two officers from Wisconsin have been accused of causing the death of a prisoner due to an overdose. Despite the officers checking on the prisoner and providing medical assistance, the individual, identified as Jones, was declared dead at the police department.
