The Rhode Island parking lot stabbing has resulted in the conviction of the eighth man.
On Monday, prosecutors announced that an additional individual has been found guilty in relation to the fatal stabbing of a man from Rhode Island. The victim was assaulted in a pharmacy parking lot after leaving a nightclub in Providence. This marks the eighth person to be convicted in connection with the incident.
A man from Rhode Island, Jaquontee Reels Felder, has been convicted of the murder of Vietnam veteran Stephen Cabral in June 2019. He pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and has been sentenced to 27 years in prison by the Providence Superior Court. The state Attorney General Peter Neronha's office confirmed the news.
At approximately 2 a.m, Cabral departed from the nightclub.
According to prosecutors, the individual was assaulted by a group of eight men in the parking area of a nearby pharmacy.
The rest of the men were also members of the club.
