A 12-year-old Texan child has been charged with murder after using an AR-15 rifle to fatally shoot a fast-food employee.
According to authorities, a 12-year-old from Texas and another man are facing charges for the fatal shooting of a fast-food employee during an argument at a Sonic drive-in restaurant in Keene, a Dallas suburb. The weapon used was an AR-15 rifle. The incident occurred on Saturday night.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Matthew Davis, aged 32, had sustained several gunshot injuries. He was transported to a medical facility but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Officials suspect that Angel Gomez, aged 20, was present at the Sonic drive-in with occupants in his car.
According to the police, he started to argue and behave in a disruptive manner in the parking lot, and was then approached by Davis, who works at Sonic.
According to Fox Dallas, Gomez was reportedly urinating at the rear of the parking lot when Davis approached him. The police have arrested a man from Texas for shooting and killing his girlfriend in Dallas over abortion. While arguing, the 12-year-old suspect, who was sitting in Gomez's car and has not been named, took the AR-15 rifle from the vehicle and fired shots, as per the authorities.
A gunshot was fired at Davis.
The area was left by the child and Gomez.
Afterwards, Gomez came back to the location and was taken into custody.
According to the police, the boy was apprehended at a residence and a number of guns were found. Both individuals have been accused of committing murder.
