Orlando authorities have arrested a middle school teacher in Florida on suspicion of committing sexual offenses against children.
Javier Fernandez Romero-Gonzalez faced accusations of committing indecent acts as a person in a position of power and making inappropriate physical contact with students.
Romero-Gonzalez was employed as a teacher of the Spanish language at Innovation Middle School located in Orlando.
In April, the allegations were reported to the Orlando Police Department.
Following several weeks of inquiry, they discovered sufficient reason to apprehend the teacher.
According to a report obtained by FOX 35 Orlando, detectives were informed by four female students about the inappropriate incidents they witnessed.
The individuals informed the investigators that they too were subjected to some form of victimization.
Two individuals who allegedly tried to take a man's daughter were shot by police in Georgia. Romero-Gonzalez was put on administrative leave on April 12 in connection with the incident.
WESH reported that witnesses claimed Romero-Gonzalez was touching students' hips, shoulders, and buttocks in an inappropriate manner. Additionally, the teacher is accused of suspiciously recording videos of students and excessively hugging them.
A man from Florida has been accused of stabbing a gas station employee without any apparent reason, just a few weeks after being released from jail. Following his apprehension, Romero-Gonzalez was sent to Orange County Jail and required to pay a bond of $40,000.
The case is currently being investigated by the Special Victims Unit of the Orlando Police Department.
They are requesting that individuals with information regarding the occurrences reach out to them via phone at 321-235-5300.
