Ten men have been apprehended in Ohio for human trafficking in a recent operation. The suspects, aged between 30 and 55, were taken into custody on sex-related charges in North Olmsted by the Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force.
A man from Lorain County, who had been found guilty of 31 counts of human trafficking in the past, was given a life sentence on the same day.
The apprehensions were carried out as a component of a single-day initiative in collaboration with the North Olmsted Police Department, Westshore Enforcement Bureau, and the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to detect individuals who are supplying and buying sexual services for profit.
The bodycam footage from Ohio shows suspects being found hiding in a dryer and under blankets during a drug bust. Among those arrested was Errol Jackson, a 35-year-old from Lorain who is a registered Tier III sex offender according to the Ohio attorney general's office.
He was taken into custody for encouraging prostitution and is currently detained in the Cuyahoga County detention center.
It is anticipated that there will be extra fees involved in the matter.
Nine more men were taken into custody and accused of participating in prostitution, which is considered a misdemeanor of the first degree.
